Companies invited to suppliers day

Contractors play a vital role in delivery of site closure programme

Dozens of companies have signed up for a suppliers day event being held by Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd.

The one-day forum is intended to give sub-contractors greater visibility of potential opportunities and improve communication between the site licence company and the supply chain.

Simon Middlemas, managing director of DSRL, will officially open the event at the Weigh Inn Hotel, Thurso, on Wednesday, August 20.

The morning session consists of presentations from DSRL and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority about the Lifetime Plan, the aims and objectives of NDA and DSRL and the opportunities for companies to support the site closure programme.

The afternoon session provides networking opportunities and one-to-one discussion with key project teams from the site
