June performance report is published

Inside the fast reactor breeder containment building near completion

Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd has published its monthly performance report for June.

It features a £50 million project to construct facilities for removal of breeder elements from the experimental fast reactor and ongoing work at the Janetstown off-site facility to destroy clean liquid metal contained in an assortment of vessels.

The monthly report also provides a statistical summary of performance across a number of indicators, including health and safety, environment, programme delivery and waste management.

No lost-time accidents were recorded at Dounreay during June, taking the total safety dividend earned by the workforce so far this year to £7500 paid by UKAEA to Dounreay Communities Fund.
