Dounreay seeks variation in SEPA permit

Cement is used to solidify waste liquors from historical reprocessing of nuclear fuel

Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd is seeking a variation to its permit from the Scottish Environment Protection Agency governing the use of cement in a waste processing plant.

The application follows the installation of a new ventilation system for the cementation plant and other facilities in the fuel cycle area.
