Dounreay to exercise emergency arrangements

All personnel at the site will take part in the emergeny exercise

An exercise to test the emergency arrangements at Dounreay takes place on the morning of Wednesday,  May 12.

The purpose of the exercise, which involves all personnel at the site, is to demonstrate the effectiveness of the site's emergency preparedness to regulators.

Code-named Delta 45, the exercise will involve the sounding of the site alert for approximately 60 seconds. Some emergency vehicles will also participate.

In the event of a genuine incident, the site alert will sound for at least 10 minutes.
