Safety record reaches new high

Workers knocking down one of Britain's most hazardous industrial sites today clocked up 5 million consecutive man-hours without a lost-time accident.

The last time there was an injury at Dounreay that kept someone off their work for more than three days was 524 days ago.

It is the longest recorded period the site has gone without a lost-time accident of more than three days.
