Transport exercise to take place

An exercise to test the response of the emergency services to a simulated accident during the transport of radioactive material will take place adjacent to Dounreay on the afternoon of Sunday, November 20.

The exercise forms part of the site's commitment to RADSAFE, a UK network that provides specialist support to the emergency services in the UK in the event of a transport accident involving nuclear material.
