NDA issues draft business plan for 2012/13
December 13, 2011
The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority has published its draft 2012/13 business plan for consultation.
It sets out key priorities for each of its sites, including Dounreay. The deadline for responses is February 3.
In his foreword, NDA chief executive Tony Fountain states: "We have announced that Babcock Dounreay Partnership (consortium comprising Babcock Nuclear Services Ltd, CH2M Hill and URS Holdings (UK) Ltd) has emerged as the preferred bidder to take the site to its interim state. Their proposal will deliver significant acceleration and costs savings
for the taxpayer through a combination of innovative technology and enhanced productivity. We are working on a smooth transition and the key will then be to ensure plans translate into action."
