Shoe contamination detected

Traces of contamination were found on the shoes of a number of operators who were preparing a building for demolition. 

The contamination was detected when the operators prepared to leave the building.

The building is in a 'controlled' area, where contamination is possible, and controls are in place to manage it.

The area was isolated and follow-up surveys confirmed that the contamination was confined to a small area.  An investigation is underway.

There was no harm to staff or the environment.
