Peedie, Dunnet

The Peedie beach at Dunnet Bay is located approximately 23 kilometres east of Dounreay.

Dounreay Particles Advisory Group identified the beach at Peedie as a possibility for particles after considering particle transport mechanisms.

The first survey was carried out in 2006. Further surveys were carried out in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

No particles have been detected here. No further surveys are planned at present.
