Project Engineer
TYPICAL JOB DESCRIPTION – PROJECT ENGINEER
Salary Range: £24,809 - £44,436
Unit / Department: Site Projects Unit., Various Departments.
Reporting to: Project Manager
JOB PURPOSE:
To support the Project Manager and to define and implement projects to DSRL’s technical and safety standards ensuring that the defined scope of work is prepared and is executed safely, economically and within timescales.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Arranging and progressing the preparation, review and issue of project documentation, as required by Project Manager
• Production and review of safety documentation to ensure work proceeds to programme.
• Planning of work execution including advice on resource requirements and engineering matters.
• Production of contract documentation and liaison with contractors associated with project areas
• Developing solutions to technical challenges.
• Ensuring detailed technical understanding of specific Project areas
• Reviewing and investigating Technical Queries
• Preparing Technical papers in support of Project requirements
PERSON SPECIFICATION
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant subject, or alternatively, to HNC/D level backed up by relevant experience.
BEHAVIOURAL STYLE
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally are required.
