COMARE

COMARE is the Committee on Medical Aspects of Radiation in the Environment.

It is an independent expert committee set up to advise the UK Government and the devolved adminstrations on the health effects of mad-made and natural sources of radiation.

The committee has published a number of reports on Dounreay, notably in relation to the incidence of childhood leukaemia in west Caithness and the effect of radioactive particles in the environment.
